A Surprise Philadelphia Proposal | Schuylkill River Trail | Allison + Dave
I met Dave when he was a groomsman at a wedding almost nine years ago. When he reached out to ask if I could photograph his proposal to Allison, I was honored to be considered. The backdrop for the moment was on a bridge near the CHOP Roberts Center, neighboring the Schuylkill Banks Boardwalk in Philadelphia.
The couple was walking their German Shepherd mix, Mimi, on a late fall afternoon when Dave turned to Allison at the end of the bridge. It warmed my heart to see how Allison knelt down immediately during the proposal, which felt like a symbol for the mutual love and respect they have for each other.
After excitedly introducing myself to Allison (and Mimi), we walked around the Boardwalk together and got to know each other before they celebrated with loved ones over dinner.
It means a lot to me that after meeting at a wedding nearly a decade ago, Dave would trust me to document this Philadelphia proposal. Congrats to the awesome couple (and Mimi) on their engagement! So glad to know you.
