Neurodiversity Photography in Philadelphia

Partnerships

I partner with universities, nonprofits, libraries, and arts-based organizations who want thoughtful, affirming visual storytelling and collaborative program support, including neurodiversity-informed photography in Philadelphia.

About Shannon's partnership work

For over 16 years, I’ve worked as a photographer providing neurodiversity-informed photography in Philadelphia, documenting connection, identity, and community. Alongside that work, I’ve built and co-led grassroots programs supporting LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent youth in the Greater Philadelphia area.

As a late-diagnosed AuDHD creative and parent, accessibility and consent are not add-ons in my work—they are foundational. I understand firsthand how being photographed, documented, or represented can feel vulnerable, especially for Disabled, neurodivergent, queer, and other intersecting marginalized communities.

Ways We Can Work Together

Program Documentation

Many organizations need visual documentation that reflects the spirit of their work while honoring participant comfort and autonomy.

I offer:
  • Consent-forward photography for youth and community programs
  • Documentation that prioritizes accessibility, sensory awareness, and an understanding of conflicting access needs
  • Images suitable for websites, newsletters, and community reporting

If your organization is building more inclusive spaces and wants documentation that aligns with those values, I’d love to connect. My approach supports neurodiversity-informed photography practices for organizations in and around Philadelphia.

Accessibility-Informed Creative Consulting

Over the years, individuals and organizations have sought my guidance around LGBTQIA+ inclusivity and disability justice—in creative industries, educational settings, and community programs.

Consulting collaborations may include:
  • Reviewing visual practices for accessibility and inclusion
  • Developing consent-forward documentation approaches
  • Advising on representation of neurodivergent and Disabled communities
  • Supporting organizations in aligning their visual storytelling with their values

My approach is collaborative, reflective, and grounded in lived experience.

Creative Program Collaboration

In addition to photography, I have experience co-creating youth-centered programs focused on building confidence, connection, and identity exploration.

I am open to collaborating on:
  • Short-term creative labs within existing programs
  • Photography-integrated confidence workshops
  • Community storytelling initiatives
  • Program design conversations rooted in accessibility and affirming practice

If you’re developing arts-based or community-centered programming and want to explore partnership, I’m happy to start a conversation.
