Engagement: Alison + Edward | Fishtown, Kensington
Winter engagement sessions are some of my favorites, but it almost always means brutal weather getting in the way of things. After a few rain dates, we finally lucked out with (partly) sunny skies for Alison and Edward’s shoot.
We started by wandering around their neighborhood in the Fishtown area, where they discovered my weakness for brick walls. Alison and Edward are getting married in their apartment in just a few weeks, so we took a short drive to Kensington where they introduced me to their dog, Stampy. If there’s anything I like more than brick walls, it’s bulldogs.
I could’ve pet Stampy all day, but there was talk of tacos in our future, so I resisted. We headed over to Loco Pez, where we stuffed our faces and bonded over a mutual love for Omar Little, among other things. I’m still fantasizing about the al pastor taco and can’t wait to take my hubs there in the future.
I really do luck out with the best couples ever. I can’t wait to photograph Alison and Edward’s wedding in February. Until then, here are some of my favorites from their engagement session…
