Intimate Wedding at Barbuzzo Upstairs in Philadelphia | Rebecca + Alex
Rebecca and Alex are two of the kindest souls I’ve ever met. Throughout the night of their microwedding, they kept checking in on me, making sure I was fed and had a place to pump. It means the world when clients go out of their way to make me feel at home, especially when they’re surrounded by their favorite people.
For portraits, we stayed in the neighborhood of their ceremony and reception space — Barbuzzo, home of incredible Mediterranean eats and the best salted caramel budino I’ve ever eaten (props to their event planner, Jess, for always making sure us photographers get an incredible meal). The second floor space is perfect for people looking for an intimate elopement, with its own kitchen, where you can watch the meals being prepped. The surrounding streets are some of my favorite to photograph, with brick and ivy, somehow tucked away from the city, even though it’s in the heart of it. The mural (one of my favorites!) and rainbow crosswalks gave us the perfect blend of nature and colorful city backdrops.
