I Do: Alison + Edward | Private Residence, Kensington
I always get antsy for my first wedding of the year and Alison and Edward’s was no exception. Winter weddings always feel a bit more magical with snow on the ground, so I was happy we lucked out with snow showers that week.
After Alison and Edward got ready at Sheraton Society Hill, we headed to Rittenhouse Square for some portraits at sunset. Our final stop was at Alison and Edward’s apartment in Kensington, which was transformed with handmade decorations, string lights, and artwork showcased on the walls.
As someone who got married in her own backyard, I always enjoy being a part of intimate weddings at home. It was especially touching to see how many friends got involved with the details of the day — from the officiant and DJ to the bartender and cake topper-maker. Even the light-up LOVE sign was created by the groom himself.
The ceremony was so personal — family and friends shared best wishes and memories aloud. You could tell that every person wanted to speak up and express their happiness for the couple.
These two complement each other so well — they’re hilarious, kind-hearted, and so damn smitten. I wish them the very best ♥
