Rachael + David | Reading Terminal Market, Philadelphia
I’ve never seen so many strangers approach a bride for a selfie. And I’ve seen a lot of wedding selfies. It makes sense though, because Rachael’s energetic personality pulls you in at first glance. This is probably one of the reasons David knew he wanted to marry her the moment they met.
These two drama therapists recently moved to Philadelphia and the city is no doubt a better place because of them. And man, do they know how to plan a wedding.
Their first look took place at Spruce Street Harbor Park, surrounded by hammock gardens, arcade games, boardwalk vendors, and a view of the waterfront. There also may or may not have been a life sized chess board.
One of my favorite moments from their wedding was when Mummers escorted guests from the ceremony at the Courtyard Marriott to the reception at Reading Terminal Market. My (awesome!) second shooter, Natira Burton, made the trip from Baltimore, and this was her first Mummers experience. Day. Made.
Their celebration was filled with so much emotion, joy, and humor. I could’ve stayed all night, soaking in every last whip and nae nae.
