I Do: Jess + Dave | Liberty Lands Park + Yards Brewing Company
When a groom has the main characters from Ghostbusters tattooed on his leg, it’s a surefire sign his wedding will be a blast. Anyone who has Rick Moranis inked on their body is an instant friend as far as I’m concerned.
I briefly met Jess and Dave at a friend’s wedding a few years ago and took note of how cute they were together. (Does that sound creepy? I’m fine with it.) They have that dry, slightly dark sense of humor that makes me smile until my face hurts. Needless to say, my face did a lot of hurting on their wedding day.
I am a total goofball, so it’s comforting to photograph couples who embrace comedy every chance they get. From Jess trying to blot a bright red lipstick stain out of Dave’s perfectly crisp, white shirt to the bridal party drinking shots of whiskey during the ceremony, there was no shortage of entertainment. But even more memorable than all of the funny moments was hearing Jess and Dave read their vows to each other. They were perfectly sweet and romantic, with just enough humor thrown in. It makes me melt when funny people get serious to show their love.
If you can’t tell, I think these two are the bee’s knees.
I wanted to say a big thank you to my husband Pete for being my partner-in-crime for this wedding. We were celebrating our first wedding anniversary while behind the lens that day ♥ Time really does fly when you’re having fun. Ahem, sorry, I’m a sap.
