{Engagement} Jess & Dave
Don’t judge me, but this warm weather is making me secretly nostalgic for being bundled in the snow. Luckily, I can relive scarf weather with this engagement shoot at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. When I originally met with Jess and Dave, they mentioned the idea of a snowball fight and I was instantly sold. I had been waiting for the chance to photograph a snowy engagement shoot, so I couldn’t wait. This winter didn’t bring a lot of snow to Philadelphia, but we lucked out with good timing one weekend after the snow coated the city.
These guys were up for anything, which made me want to be their pal for life (although, I suppose being Facebook friends should suffice for now). Climb a tree? Sure. Mount a giant moose sculpture? On it. Make a beard out of snow? Absolutely. Have a snowball fight until you find melted snow in every crevice of your body? Heck yes.
Their awesome personalities distracted me from the fact that I couldn’t feel my fingers and toes…they were total troopers for running around in the insane cold.
I especially love the Eternal Sunshine-esque moments toward the end of the shoot, before we went to warm up at a coffee shop.
My hubs and I can’t wait to photograph their wedding ceremony at Liberty Lands Park and reception at Yards Brewing Company in Northern Liberties this summer. An intimate park ceremony and microbrewer reception with an adorably hilarious couple? Yes please.
