Sam and Luca’s North Bowl wedding celebration was fantastically bright and joyful.
We started with a first look on the rooftop of their Airbnb, where Luca surprised Sam with a ring as an unexpected gift. Sam’s hot pink wedding dress and hair matched her favorite color. Luca’s custom suit was handmade by their mother. Luca’s shirtless collar and Sam’s pink gloves had my whole heart.
I loved the mirrored backdrop at their Airbnb rooftop. It made the perfect geometric pattern to complement their vibrant wedding aesthetic.
Northern Liberties photo locations
I always look forward to photographing folks in Northern Liberties because there’s so much character in the neighborhood.
After we left their amazing Airbnb, we ventured to a nearby ivy-covered courtyard. We couldn’t pass Emily White’s dog mural outside of Kaplan’s New Model Bakery without taking a few photos. Then we met friends and family for sunset photos at Liberty Lands.
The neighborhood is always lively in the best way and has interesting architecture and murals that make me grateful to work in Philadelphia.
North Bowl wedding
North Bowl in Northern Liberties is the perfect unique wedding venue in Philadelphia. The upstairs level has beautiful views of the lanes below, while offering its own lanes for guests to enjoy bowling. The disco ball brings the perfect vibes to the dance floor, with ample room for things like a photo booth.
Their guests had an absolute blast bowling and playing billiards and arcade games at North Bowl during their reception. Sam surprised Luca by performing a song with her guitar, inviting guests to sing along.
Their DJ, Ophelia Bawdy from Drag Queen Entertainment, energized everyone with a lip sync drag performance. The couple opted for a chocolate fountain in addition to their wedding cake, which I fully support.
It was wonderful to get to know Sam and Luca, along with their lovely friends and family.
