Taking Hoboken Riverside Park wedding photos with Emily and Natacha was a total joy. We met at the Hoboken Waterfront and explored the area together with their families and pups.
Emily and Natacha’s story started with the kind of online connection that feels instantly familiar. Two people who bonded over shared ideals, adventure, good food (and cereal), and making each other laugh. What began as “just drinks” quickly turned into something deeper. Even in the middle of a world that had suddenly shut down.
Antique Loft wedding
The couple was married under the night sky at the Antique Loft in Hoboken. They were surrounded by the people who’ve watched them build a life together. Abundant with climbing, teaching, French lessons, long-distance bike rides, and a very adored pup named Lafayette.
Hoboken Riverside Park wedding
Earlier that afternoon, we wandered the Hoboken Riverside Park for their portrait session. The city and water wove into their day the same way travel and movement have woven through their relationship.
Their wedding was filled with so many personal touches. My favorite might be the cake that Natacha baked herself. A sculpted Emily scaling a croquembouche to reach her. And a beloved Laffy waiting patiently at the top.
Accessible wedding venues near NYC
Working alongside more accessible wedding venues is important to me as a Disabled photographer. Hoboken Riverside Park and The Antique Loft were both wheelchair accessible. Too often, wedding venues, especially in historic locations, don’t prioritize accessibility. Wheelchair users should always be welcomed at spaces, without encountering literal roadblocks that make it impossible to be in community together.
I’m grateful to have connected with such intentional clients who prioritized finding a photographer who is not only competent, but celebrates, working alongside queer and Disabled communities.
Documenting Emily and Natacha’s celebration—with all its intention, Disability-affirming care, and queer love—was an absolute honor.
