This summer has surprised me in the best way with all of the custom embroideries and appliqués. This Terrain Gardens wedding was no exception.
M + K fell in love after meeting as college freshmen. In the eight years since then, they’ve been soaking up going on daily adventures.
I’m so grateful the couple found me by Googling “queer affirming wedding photographers” in Main Line, PA. Like so many clients I work with, they were looking for a photographer who is confident with guiding clients who can be camera shy.
So many folks share that they feel awkward being photographed. It’s my job to make clients comfortable in front of the camera, when so many of us don’t like being perceived. I want clients, especially those who are marginalized, to feel celebrated and seen at the end of the day.
Terrain Gardens wedding
Terrain Gardens was the perfect backdrop for M + K’s wedding, as it’s where they’ve shared many dinner dates. It was a joy to spend a few hours together and document a portion of their wedding day. The couple opted to have me start coverage with couple portraits and wedding party photos. I also covered the ceremony, social hour, and group photos prior to heading home.
It’s important to me that my rates are accessible to everyone, which is why I offer an hourly rate verses packages that start at a certain amount of coverage.
Floral appliqués for weddings
I can’t get over how beautiful the custom embroidery and floral appliqués were on M + K’s fits. Another couple embraced custom embroidered details recently this summer. Hopefully this trend that continues to catch on because it is so beautiful. Especially when there are so many flower details around to complement the pieces.
Terrain Gardens weddings are always fascinating to me because the space changes along with the season. I’ve documented many Terrain Gardens weddings and they all take on different personalities based on the time of year and what’s in bloom. The catering team is always incredibly kind and their food is top-notch.
If folks are in the early wedding planning stages and looking for a Philadelphia-area wedding venue with free parking and organic, natural atmosphere, I can’t recommend Terrain enough.
