Michelle and Mike had an intimate New Hope wedding at Porches on the Towpath in New Hope. I loved that they had their ceremony in the rain, which always makes things feel more cinematic and dreamy to me. After toasting with their ten guests in the garden, the marriers exchanged vows privately. They opted to have four hours of wedding photography coverage, which gave us ample time for portraits, candids, and photos with guests. Michelle’s dress was so gorgeous and complemented the gardens and florals in such a picturesque way.
Porches on the Towpath wedding
Their venue, Porches on the Towpath, was the perfect backdrop for an intimate wedding in Bucks County. Settled on Fisher’s Alley, the bed and breakfast offers lodging and a variety of spaces for events. Porches on the Towpath is tucked away in a quiet location near the Delaware Canal. We were still able to see some congratulatory folks pass as they ventured to nearby shops and restaurants. The roads were mostly shut down for their annual Pride parade, which made the festivities even more fun.
Porches on the Towpath was originally built as a granary in the 1830s, but has been renovated and preserved. The venue has thirteen guest rooms (with central air, yay) and private bathrooms. The gardens have a fire pit, gazebo, and so many secluded spots great for photos. Plus a cute toad who isn’t camera shy.
You can rent the whole space or just the areas that you feel would best suit your wedding. There’s also parking available for guests, which was helpful since New Hope can be bustling (especially at Pride).
New Hope wedding photographer
If you’re having a New Hope wedding, I highly recommend checking out Porches on the Towpath! I love photographing celebrations in Bucks County. Visiting New Hope is always a treat, and even moreso when surrounded by amazing people.
I’m so lucky I get to call this my job as a wedding photographer. It’s been 16 years of doing this and it still brings me so much joy and gratitude.
