M + L’s Valley Green Inn wedding was a joy to photograph. I’ve visited Valley Green Inn many times and it continues to surprise me with its charm. The way the community and environment engages with the venue is really lovely. As M + L had their wedding ceremony outside along the Wissahickon Creek, geese and ducks were singing their congrats while cyclists passed by.
M + L met during their senior year of undergrad and have been together for over five years. Max’s favorite things about Liz are their “kindness toward everyone around them and their ability to find joy in their life even when things are going wrong.” Liz’s favorite things about Max are his “gentleness with all creatures and people, and his quick wit.”
Valley Green Inn wedding
The marriers love going on walks and being in nature together, which made Valley Green Inn the perfect venue.
“We’re good at making each other laugh and can talk for hours on end, making for some really long walks. When we first moved here, we lived in Manayunk and spent a lot of time in the Wissahickon. Now, in west, we go to The Woodlands and Clark Park a lot. ”
I’m grateful to have connected with M + L, whose vendor team was equally as wonderful. I love working with their DJ, Jamya, who always makes receptions go by incredibly quickly because the music is so energizing and fun. Their florist, Jess, created so many beautiful details, with no shortage of color.
The catering and events team at their Valley Green Inn wedding was also top notch. The coordinators at Valley Green Inn are total pros and made everything run smoothly. They even fed us vendors salad, which is a much-appreciated rarity.
The evening ended with dancing and s’mores around the campfire, with floral cakes beautifully decorated by their friend.
Thanks to M + L for trusting me to document their wedding day. It meant a lot to be present and surrounded by such kind-hearted individuals.
