Last year, I photographed Nic and Whitney’s elopement at The Woodlands. They decided to host a celebration at an Osteria wedding reception.
We met near City Hall for some portraits before walking to the space to greet everyone. It’s always a boost in energy to have random passersby congratulate the marriers and send well wishes between honks and encouraging cheers.
The Common Threads mural was a beautiful backdrop for some candids walking in the city. Another beautiful venue I recently worked at—Congregation Rodeph Shalom—was on the way, so we took some more photos in front of the building’s grand exterior doors.

For folks who are interested in having a wedding at Osteria, marriers can select a curated food and beverage menu and one of three different private rooms to choose from (or even the entire restaurant). The glass-enclosed greenhouse patio has views of the garden and the stained-glass windows of the church next door. The space can accommodate up to sixty-five people, with a family-style approach to dining. Osteria also has a wine room, where it seats up to thirty-five people. Osteria’s kitchen table offers an intimate, behind-the-scenes option, with a setting for up to fourteen people.
Having an elopement with a reception at a later date has been a common thread for the clients I work with since the pandemic began. It was lovely to have the opportunity to reconnect and see Nic and Whitney flourish surrounded by those they love.
