It means a lot to me that clients trust me to help brainstorm their session locations. Patrick and Mikey wanted to include their dogs at the start of their engagement photos, and then explore somewhere with a nature vibe in the city. We kept it local by exploring the trails of Schuylkill River Park before heading to Cira Green for some rooftop view of Philadelphia.
We wrapped up at sunset, walking around the neighborhood and geeking out over pop culture and their love for video games.
When they originally reached out for photos, Patrick and Mikey expressed they didn’t see many examples of LGBTQIA+ marriers during their planning process.
I hope it is a small comfort to them that they’re able to be some of the representation they wished to see. It’s an honor to tell the stories of folks who make it a bit easier for others to show up in who they are.
