Philadelphia Microwedding at Morris Arboretum | Kathy + Mike
Kathy and Mike wanted to have an intimate microwedding at Morris Arboretum to celebrate each other. They picked the perfect day, when the cherry blossoms were starting to bloom and the sun was finally coming out and illuminating the beautiful trees at the arboretum. Their ceremony took place right next to the rose garden, where they exchanged tear-filled vows.
When asked for some of their favorite things about the other person, Kathy shared that Mike makes her feel safe and lets her have her quirks, “like the need to point out every cute animal I see or my desire to hoard boxes.” As someone who also points out every cute animal, I can highly relate. Mike said Kathy cares deeply about those in her life, is ambitious, and bakes cakes for sick children. They like playing crane games, hiking, and building LEGOS together.
It was so lovely to get to know them a bit better as we walked around the grounds for an hour. I love the challenge of working with self-proclaimed “awkward” couples who open up in front of the camera and are so willing to trust my vision for their photos.
