Shea + Evan | Bellevue Hall | Delaware Wedding Photographer

Not to get all Jon Snow on you, but there’s something to be said about revisiting a summer wedding when winter is coming. Shea and Evan’s wedding at Bellevue Hall was such a perfect example of a garden wedding. Settled in Bellevue State Park in Wilmington, Delaware, their wedding will always stand out to me as a favorite.

I love working with couples who aren’t afraid to break away from tradition. During Shea + Evan’s first dance, their daughter joined them on the dance floor, since they don’t like being the center of attention. Seeing her toddle around while hamming it up was so cute. The evening ended with lots of dancing, thanks to Amber Lynn from Stylus DJ, and a visit from a local dairy farm’s ice cream truck. It was such a picturesque day, with children chasing each other around the property until the sun went down, and joining the grown-ups on the dance floor until the moon went up.

Special thanks to my second shooter, Colleen Stepanian, who does a beautiful job at capturing in-between moments that won’t go forgotten — from diaper changes to the way Shea’s dad looked at her before walking her down the aisle — and everything in between.
