Aileen + Dave | Historic Yellow Springs, Chester Springs
Some weddings really stay with you for years and make you feel all the feelings.
When Aileen saw her reflection in the mirror after putting on her dress, everyone in the room was teary-eyed. Luckily there was a fresh pack of Peanuts tissues, which says a lot about Dave and Aileen.
They are incredibly intelligent, witty, kind-hearted, ambitious, and know what they want. For them to have found each other and planned this perfect day together, with details near and dear to their souls — it was magical.
Birchtree Catering did a beautiful job and made it such a pleasure to photograph. Their mac ‘n cheese is one of the reasons everyone should be jealous of wedding photographers. The lovely Jessica Hendrix killed it as second shooter while rocking her baby bump in the process.
This was my first (and hopefully not last) time photographing a wedding at Historic Yellow Springs. It was like stepping back in time, having the first look within the ruins of a Revolutionary War hospital.
I really can’t say enough positive things about this wedding. Here are my favorite photos from the day.
