Engagement: Betsey + Robert | Valley Forge National Historical Park, King of Prussia
It always makes me feel special when a couple reaches out to me for an engagement session, even if I’m unable to be there for their big day. When Betsey emailed me to introduce herself, her warm character was instantly apparent. I couldn’t wait to meet up with her and Robert at the Valley Forge National Historical Park.
Their backstory is so heartwarming. Robert moved all the way from Georgia to Pennsylvania two years ago, after a long distance relationship with Betsey. Even though we spent less than two hours together, their love for each other was so big, I felt like I really “got” them. There’s a lot of courage and depth to these two, which will only grow stronger over time during their adventures together. I’m so happy that they found each other, because they’re as genuine and kind as they come.
I tend to stay in touch with couples online, so when I saw this quote on Betsey’s blog, I had to share it. I wish Betsey and Robert the best of luck and know their wedding day will be perfect.
“Have patience with everything unresolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves, as if they were locked rooms or books written in a very foreign language. Don’t search for the answers, which could not be given to you now, because you would not be able to live them. And the point is to live everything. Live the question now. Perhaps then, some day far in the future, you will gradually without even noticing it, live your way into the answer.” -Rainer Maria Rilke
