Philadelphia Family Session: Race Street Pier

Race Street Pier

Abby is so cute, there aren’t really any words to describe her. The closest thing I can think of is that she’s throw-your-hands-to-your-cheeks-like-Kevin-McCallister-in-Home-Alone-and-make-a-squeaky-noise cute. Her cheeks slay me. I may be guilty of being dog crazy, but baby accessories are my new official weakness. Her polka dot hair clip that matched her polka dot jacket…c’mon now. So cute.

This family session took place at Race Street Pier in Philadelphia, where the view of the Benjamin Franklin Bridge is pretty spectacular. I love the mix of steel and wood at the pier, where a lot of couples and children were also enjoying the setting of the relaxed riverfront on this particularly warm afternoon. I’m so grateful to have some warm weather during shoots finally…as much as I love playing in the snow, I’ve missed you, sunshine.

I snapped photos of Abby sunbathing, enjoying a good book, and playing with her parents. It was a relaxing, laid back way to spend a family photo session and I’ll definitely be going back to the pier to take in the view this summer.

I’ll be seeing Abby and her family again this weekend at Franklin Square Pavilion for her doljabi, a traditional Korean first birthday celebration when the baby picks an item that is supposed to represent what their life will be like. I can’t wait! Until then, here are some cute chubby cheek photos to hold you over.
