Writing

In addition to my dog whisperer skills and ability to wear corduroy pants in any season (especially summer), I pride myself on my penmanship. Whenever I see a website that lists someone as an artist/photographer/writer/etc, I hold my breath. I pinky swear I’m the real deal. While I have nothing but love for visual stimulation, I am bent on making people want to read on without turning the page. I use mostly real words, but sometimes favorites like “snarfle” or “schnitzelheimer” (mostly “s” words) will slip in and I deem those fellers keepers.

Copywriting

If you find yourself sitting at home trying to pen clever copy for your website while snarfling a carton of Chinese takeout, I’m here to come to your rescue (and steal your fortune cookie, while I’m at it). With clients such as LivingSocial under my belt, I design total experiences that bring a loyal new following to local businesses, by using an editorial voice that is both conversational and genuine. Shakespeare knew what he was talking about (shocker) when he said “Brevity is the soul of wit.” Nobody wants to read 80 pages to get to the punch line, but sometimes it feels like pulling teeth to delete just one sentence when you’re attached to your materials. In addition to copywriting, I am also happy to lend my editor’s eye to keep your brand’s copy short, sweet, and to the point.

Magazine writing

As a writer for LifeStyle Magazine and Local Living Magazine, I spotlighted features on everything from local non-profits and community favorites to advertorial pieces exploring successful businesses in the area. With a regionally-driven focus, I spent over five years getting to know Bucks, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties–from B&Bs which will woo your lover to the best sights off the beaten path. As a result, I’ve become very familiar with the area, with a newfound respect for local flavor, especially Jules Thin Crust Pizza (I wish they paid me to say that). I take great care in writing articles that don’t sound like an advertisement, even if they are meant to be. Social media, blog and marketing management

In addition to copywriting and magazine writing, I also manage the weekly content and social media for popular blogs, including the wedding professionals at Maddy K and Principles in Action. Oftentimes, business owners simply don’t have the time to update their professional blogs, which is where I come in. From drafting alluring content ideas and publishing posts to spreading the word on social media, I handle every detail so you can kick back and enjoy double rainbow-style happiness while your clients “like” your fresh status updates. If you’re interested in having me write material for your blog, or you just need someone to show your Facebook page some love, reach out and say hello.

That’s my editorial voice in a nutshell, but for a deeper (yet not too deep) look into my past, feel free to check out my resume.
